Our Journey : Becoming the All-Women led Torchbearer

The place - the heartland of India-Indore; the year-1981; a group of compassionate women unite with a mission to transform the lives of abandoned children and individuals with disabilities. Formed to tackle a critical issue, that group has now grown into an organisation that is a symbol of hope and inspiration throughout central India.

One of the organisation’s first major initiatives was the establishment of a child care home in 1982. Aptly named ‘Navdeep’, meaning 'New Light’, by founder member Dr. Mrs. Lokre, it has become a loving sanctuary for countless abandoned children. Over the past four decades, Navdeep has facilitated the adoption of hundreds of children, ensuring they find loving homes and brighter futures. The success of these adoptions is a testament to the deep bonds formed within the home, where children thrive under the care and affection they receive.

Our other initiative, 'Ashadeep', is a school with a difference. It is aimed at providing a comprehensive education specially tailored to the needs of hearing-impaired children, preparing them to not only be integrated into society, but also contribute to it constructively.

Looking Ahead : A Vision for the Future

Sanjeevani Seva Sangam exemplifies the power of compassion, dedication, and community support. From its inception, the organisation has grown into a mission that transforms lives, offering hope and opportunities to those in need. Through its various programs, Sanjeevani not only addresses immediate needs but also empowers individuals to lead independent, fulfilling lives.

As it looks to the future, the organisation remains steadfast in its mission, ready to face new challenges and continue making a difference, one life at a time.

While we have achieved significant milestones, we acknowledge that much work remains to be done. Facilities and new development projects are constantly being upgraded. To continue its mission, Sanjeevani Seva Sangam relies on the generosity of donors and the broader community. We are confident that there are many who share our zeal to support children who have been thrust into challenging circumstances. With greater societal support, Sanjeevani Seva Sangam will continue to illuminate the lives of many more children, nurturing their potential and helping them achieve their dreams.
